Join the UC Davis Math Project as we launch our 2025-26 Saturday Series. Our theme this year is "Bringing Thinking to the Classroom". For several years now UCDMP has provided professional development highlighting Peter Lifjedahl's book "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics. This year, with the implementation of the 2023 Mathematics Framework and the state's anticipated list of new math materials (the first in about 15 years) we believe we can leverage our work with BTC to provide professional learning experiences for teachers that highlight the systemic changes outlined in the 2023 Math Framework. We know students learn best when they are engaged, curious, and invested in their own understanding of the mathematics. Our goal is to provide educators with useful, relevant and research based information that will support their efforts to provide high quality learning opportunities for their students.
